Christmas in Alsace

Christmas markets, hot wine, bredelas (cookies), foie gras- these are all necessities in Alsace at Christmas. I'm trying to focus on all of the good things here and not on the fact that I will be away from my family. Denis has spent 8/10 Christmases with the Raiche family, so I guess I owe him this one. I have been out of the blogging loop since we finally moved into our house on Dec.1. But France Telecom is not the speediest operation, so we just now have internet and a phone at home. Better late than never. We did have an awesome visit from our good friends Aisling, Damien, and Aoibheann 2 weekends ago which really lifted our spirits. Now it's time to party. AND after Christmas Denis and I get to go away for 3 nights on our own. Will we manage without the kids???!!! (do you hear the irony?)

  2. Emily- have you lost weight? Either that or that outfit just makes you look extra skinny! I know they probably don't eat as much in France as we do here! LOL.
